The Sisterhood is sponsoring a breakfast on Sunday, May 20, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ravintola: smoked salmon, toasted bagels, Breadsmith apple pie, French toast and ham, a loaded BLT, breakfast bake, seasonal fresh fruit, Greek yogurt sundae. Finn Fiesta

On Saturday, May 19, join the party at 7:30 p.m. in the Clubroom. We will have a taco bar, sangria, Mexican beers and salsa dance lessons! The cost is $10 in advance for food and lessons, or $14 at the door. The dance lessons will run from 8:30 to 10:00. This event is sponsored by the Bar Committee. Hope to see all our amigos there!

Voima Boys Games

The next Voima Boys game is on Friday, May 18, at 7:25 with the Bankers Life on Finn Camp’s George Aho Field.

Since the two games on April 20 was rained out, there will be makeup games on this Sunday, May 20, at 5:40 p.m. with the Tequila Slammers and 6:50 p.m. with the Pierce Bros Power Washers. There will be softball games at George Aho Field all day on Sunday starting at 1:00. The schedule stated May 13th, but since that is Mother’s Day, we moved it to the 20th.

The Friday Night Grill will open during the softball season every Friday at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a chicken sandwich, burger, hot dog and soft drinks while you watch a game.

Spaghetti Dinner

Come to this all-you-can-eat feast on Saturday, April 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This dinner will benefit the Piano Fund. The menu will include a spaghetti bar with There will be a vegetarian meatless marinara, meat, alfredo sauces, a dinner salad and garlic bread, a dessert to pass and coffee. The cost for adults is only $8, children under 12 just $4. We have until the annual membership meeting April 29 to reach our goal of raising the $2,000 needed to renovate the Clubroom’s 1920s’vintage upright piano. If you can’t make the spaghetti dinner, other ways to contribute to the piano fund are to place your donation in the Clubroom’s Piano Appeal box, or send your check to the Association, made out to the:

Wixom Household Hazardous Waste Day 2012

Open to RRRASOC residents only

Household Hazardous Waste includes a variety of common household items such as cleaners, paints, herbicides, insecticides, and solvents that exhibit the characteristics of regulated hazardous wastes such as ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, or toxicity.Residents of our Member Communities may dispose of such materials at our household hazardous waste collection events. Those events provide residents with an opportunity to safely discard or recycle hazardous items. Residents can also bring up to 100 pounds of sensitive documents that will be shredded on site. St. Urho’s Party

Winterfest ’12

Come on out to the Finn Camp for a day of fun in the snow. We have a great list of new and old ideas to make this one of our best days ever. Once again, we will start the day with Polar Dip’n and Ice Fish’n, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the sauna. Then from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. join us for the annual Chili Cook-off and dancin’ to a DJ in the Clubroom. Buttons are $5/adult, $3/child, $15/member family with the sauna being extra. The Clubroom bar opens at 2:00 p.m. While the date may still seem far off, we need lots of help to make this work. We have a Chili Master, but we still need buttons to be made, raffles and door prizes sold, nissua baked and much more.
