ST. URHO CELEBRATION Cultural Committee Update: On March 15, a crowd of over 80 people celebrated as St. Urho himself (D.J. COBURGER) announced MIKE H. and LAURA M.as 2003 St. Urho King and Queen. A procession of former royalty, led by MIKE and LAURA, marched around the Club Room to ‘When the Saints Come Marching In’ played by the FINNHOPPERS (JACK L., STEVE N., DAVE K., and friends.) A feast of Finnish-American food was served to the hungry crowd. Of course, there were the usual ‘violators’ who sportingly played games to fulfill their sentences. Best dressed prizes went to KEVIN and BRIDGETTE P. for their sparkly green and purple costumes. ERIN S. received honorable mention. Thank you to all who attended and a special thank you to the decorators, chefs, bartenders, and cleanup crew (STEVE M., CINDI M., LAURA M., SHERRY A., PATTI L., GINGER W., DARLENE L., RAY M., WAYNE J., ERIC M., MIKE M, and LYNN C.) for making this Finnish-American tradition such a success.

CULTURAL COMMITTEE We are still looking for members to give DANCE LESSONS: Polka, Waltz, Tango, Two-Step, Salsa, Swing, Schottis, Line, etc. Please contact CINDI M. or drop a note in the Board’s mailbox in the Clubroom. The next Committee meeting will be May 31 at 8pm in the Clubroom.

Moving, hilarious and altogether wondrous. “A comic beauty….utterly delightful.” - Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly.
