On Saturday, September 25, join the laughter\u00a0and musical fun at this year\u2019s Autumn Fest and\u00a0Mojakka <\/em>Cook-off! The festivities begin at 3:00\u00a0p.m. in the Dance Hall with the Suomalainen\u00a0Sisters\u2014 Kris, Sherry and Linda Kyro\u2014performing their hilarious Finnish comedy and\u00a0music routine, \u201cNyt Naura\u2014 Now Laugh!\u201d The\u00a0trio has been performing to sold-out audiences\u00a0throughout the UP and at international Finn\u00a0Fests since 2005. After the performance, stick\u00a0around to meet the Sisters and visit with friends\u00a0before heading down to the Clubroom about\u00a05:00 p.m. for the annual Mojakka <\/em>Cook-off. There\u00a0you\u2019ll be able to dine on a variety of hearty\u00a0mojakkas <\/em>while being entertained by the music\u00a0of the strolling musicians Soittoniekat.<\/p>\n

3:00 p.m: \u201cNyt Naura\u2014 Now Laugh!\u201d With <\/strong>the Suomalainen Sisters <\/strong>Advance tickets are $15 for adults and teens,\u00a0$10 for children 12 and younger. (At-the-door\u00a0tickets are $20 and $15, respectively.) For\u00a0advance tickets, send an email to the following:\u00a0FinnCulture@Yahoo.com. Include your name,\u00a0contact information and number of tickets of\u00a0each kind. Or leave a message with your name\u00a0and contact information at 248-624-2550.<\/p>\n

5:00 p.m: Mojakka <\/em>Cook-off, featuring the <\/strong>strolling musicians Soittoniekat <\/strong>At-the-door only, adults are $5, children 5 to 17\u00a0are $3 and families are $15 (parents and children\u00a0ages 5 to 17).<\/p>\n

Enter the Mojakka <\/em>Cook-off <\/strong>by sending an\u00a0email to FinnCulture@Yahoo.com no later than\u00a0Friday, September 24. Include your name,\u00a0contact information, and the type of mojakka <\/em>(e.g., beef, fish, pork, chicken, vegetarian).\u00a0Your mojakka <\/em>must be in a crockpot or\u00a0microwave- and oven-safe container and be\u00a0dropped off at the Clubroom by 4:00 p.m. on\u00a0Saturday, September 25.<\/p>\n

2010 Cook-off Rules<\/strong>:
\n1. Entry into the cook-off must be received no later than Friday, September 24.
\n2. Types of mojakka may include: beef (lihamojakka), fish (kalamojakka), and other (pork, chicken, vegetarian, etc.).
\n3. Mojakka must be in a crockpot or microwave\/oven-safe container and dropped off at the Ravintola by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25.
\n4. Judging will be from 4:30 p.m .to 5:00p.m.
\n5. Prizes to be awarded as follows:<\/p>\n
