BOARD NOTES
ANNUAL FALL TALKOO - “Work-Bee” – scheduled for Sunday, November 3, 10:00am, at the Kentta. All members please attend to help prepare our grounds for winter. We rake leaves in the Kentta area along with general clean-up in and around the Kentta area, Sun Lake and Loon Lake. If you have a mulching lawn mower, please bring it for the leaves. We must also put our summer furniture in storage and winterize the restrooms. Beverages and Mojakka available for all workers. There is a job for every age. Bring your whole family.
CAMP COUNTRY closing is November 2. ALL CAMP OWNERS are reminded to winterize their camp by Storing outside furniture and equipment, securing awnings and doors and clean-up all debris around your area. Do not leave anything of great value in or out of your camp to invite vandalism. Also, NO STORAGE PERMITTED of cars, boats or any large equipment .Remove or properly dispose of any harmful substances such as gasoline or charcoal lighter fluids.

We will have food, fun, more prizes and a Frightfully Fiendish Time!!
BAR COMMITTEE will be hosting their EUCHRE FRIDAY NIGHT beginning in January
and continuing through May of next year. The TOURNAMENT will be held the
last Friday of those months. There will be a nominal entry fee and cash prizes.
THE FUTURE PLANNING COMMITTEE is looking for members who would like to help
form a group to possibly build a temporary historic replica of a Finn Camp
from the 30’s or 40’s for a festival, or maybe renovate an existing camp
for such a purpose. We are looking for people who might be able to lend us
some historic props such as a kerosene stove, chairs, old army tent material
for the flaps, etc.

PIKKU JOULU – “Little Christmas Party” - Sunday, December 7 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Please mark your calendars for our annual Christmas celebration with the kids
and enjoy a wonderful afternoon
of holiday cheer with family and friends. All new members are asked to bring
an unbreakable ORNAMENT
( 1 per family ) to hang on the tree and add to the collection. Please bring
a DISH to pass for our POTLUCK LUNCH. Traditional RIISI PUURO will be served.
SANTA and MRS. CLAUS are sure to appear. If you would like your child to participate
in the Grab Bag, bring a wrapped gift with your child’s name to be put under
the tree. ( Please limit your gift to $10-15 ). Anyone interested in helping
with set-up and decorating or clean-up, contact ROBYN J.

out….fiction…non-fiction…Finnish books…large print. If you have any current
hard-cover books you would like to donate, please call ELAINE E. ( Do not just
drop off books )
Donations to purchase current hard-cover books would also be greatly appreciated.

BOAT DOCK INTEREST?
If you would be interested in docking your boat on a new docking system at
Loon Lake, call MICHELE F. Any input, additional ideas or concerns would
be appreciated at this time. Also, please Attend the Semi-Annual Meeting
to help facilitate this process. Our membership input is needed at this Meeting.
