Saturday, July 14th, July 14th, join us under the Ravintola for breakfast from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. A dedication for Edwin Elkhill will follow at 2 p.m. at Sun Lake, for his years of friendship and his generous donation to Finn Camp that we all will be grateful for throughout the years! Kittos Edwin! Bring your swimsuit and swim a lap to honor our dear friend.

It’s FESTIVAL time! Mark your calendars and plan to support this major fundraising event. What a great time to work some of your hours, catch up with other members and friends and to cheer on our own Finn Camp Voima team in the softball tournament!
Friday kicks off the festival weekend with the kitchen and beer truck opening at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Home Run Derby beginning about 6:30 p.m. Come see the big hitters knock ’em into the woods! We will continue in to the evening with music and dancing in the Clubroom!
Saturday the kitchen will open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. with food available all day in the Ravintola and food tent. The softball tournament also begins at 8:00 a.m. with games on the Finn Camp’s George Aho Memorial Field and the Gilbert Willis Park fields. Opening ceremonies will be at 11:00 a.m. There will be music and entertainment from the Dance Hall porch plus 50/50 raffles, prize raffles sponsored by the Scholarship Committee, kid’s activities are sponsored by the Recreation Committee, ‘Round Robin’ horseshoes tournament and other games for all ages. The sale of Finn Camp and Finn Fest merchandise is ongoing throughout the day. We will then cut loose on the dancefloor with our DJ playing all our favorites in the Dance Hall.
Sunday, FUNday, we will do it all over again! The kitchen will open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. with food available all day. Softball will continue on all three fields with the championship game on our “A” field in the late afternoon/early evening. Followed immediately by trophy presentation. Music, raffles, horseshoes, and other activities will continue as well.
Our annual Juhannus celebration will be held on Saturday, June 17th. Bring the family out early for games, dancing, food and prizes! Fun for all ages! Horseshoe Tournament registration begins at 1:30pm with a 2pm start time. Cornhole, washer toss & mölkky (a traditional Finnish game) while the kitchen is open on Saturday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Second annual boot toss competition from 4pm-7pm! View the Kalevala Exhibit at the dancehall and experience some Finnish culture (see article below). Traditional Finnish dancing with light instruction in the dancehall from 6:30pm-8pm. The kokko (bonfire) will be lit at 10:00 p.m. Join us after the kokko in the dancehall for a live DJ and dancing! Admission for Juhannus is $5 per person.
