Jim Dernberger, 77, died Tuesday, March 9, from complications after surgery in November. Jim loved the Finn Camp, which he joined when he married Norma (Sam) Mustonen in 1971. He served on the board for four years in the early 1980s. Jim was active with the Loon Lake Singers and the Loon Lake Players.
Jim is survived by his wife, Norma; a son, Wade Cupps; daughters Jackie (husband Jeff) Waters, Kristen (Christopher) Tury and Jody Dernberger, as well as by 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A sister, Carol Tsuha, and brother, George (wife Carol) Dernberger, live in Illinois.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, March 27, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Clubroom.
