Condolences
James Kevan Aro—born in Detroit on December 24, 1958, to Bruno and Bertha Aro (Kauranen)—lost his battle with cancer on May 15 at the age of 53 at home in Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan. Jim was the devoted husband of Donna, cherished stepfather of Shannon Dux, dearest brother of Lynn Aro, Delle (Kari) Aro, Karl Aro and Lori Aro (John Solocinski). Jim, a machine electrician, received his Certificate of Robotics/Automated Systems Technology degree. Jim will be remembered for his love of golf, but also his passions for bowling, Ping-Pong, darts, horseshoes and euchre. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, at noon at the Detroit Finnish Cooperative Summer Camp Association, 2524 Loon Lake Road, Wixom, MI 48393. A luncheon will follow. Donations may be made to the DFCSCA Scholarship Fund in memory of Jim Aro.
