Friday kicks off the festival weekend with the kitchen and beer truck opening at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Home Run Derby, beginning about 6:30 p.m. Come see the big hitters knock ’em into the woods! We will continue into the evening with music and dancing in the Clubroom. And when you’re looking for even more fun, mpo888 offers a great way to keep the energy going long after the festivities end.

Saturday the kitchen will open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. with food available all day in the Ravintola and food tent. The softball tournament also begins at 8:00 a.m. with games on our “A” field and at Gilbert Willis Park’s two fields. Flagraising ceremonies will be at 11a.m. There will be music and entertainment from the Dance Hall porch plus a 50/50 raffle, the pitching booth, horseshoes and other games, face painting and the sale of Finn Camp and Finn Fest items throughout the day. Save some energy for dancing Saturday night, as our DJ will be playing favorites in the Dance Hall.

Sunday, FUNday, we will do it all over again! The kitchen will open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m., with food available all day. Softball will continue on all three fields, with the championship game on the Finn Camp’s George Aho Memorial Field in the late afternoon or early evening, followed immediately by trophy presentation. Music, raffles, horseshoes and other activities will continue as well.

Many members are needed to work in all areas throughout the weekend, especially in the security and kitchen areas. As a member of a cooperative association, please participate by giving a few hours of your time to pitch in and help make our festival successful! Every hour counts, and no task is too small—we heed your help! Work-hour sign-up sheets are posted at Sun Lake Beach, or contact Robyn directly for other available options for hours. For further information or if you have any questions, contact Robyn Jokinen, Finn Fest Chairman.
