I am sorry to announce the passing of Sylvia Leiviska Ketola, a former member, at 96 years old in Wollongong, Australia. Born Sept 11, 1912. Died May 20, 2009 after a fall. A celebration of her long and eventful life was held on 26 May, with slide show, testimonials from family in Finland and America, and a motorcycle escort to see her off! Survived by daughter, Georgia Leiviska Phillips, son-in-law, Peter and grandchildren, Elizabeth and David. One sister and one brother of her Stark family still survive also. She contributed many hours to the Co-op and purchased a house at 2175 Qualla, where Georgia was raised. She lived life to the full!
